Synopsis:
We begin during the Bad Tour. Alissa Valetta, 21, and Michael Jackson, 30, are two people searching for the same thing; love and acceptance. Both are painfully aware that people seldom are what they seem to be. When the two first meet they are both intrigued with one another and try desperately to figure the other out. Michael has severe trust issues and so feels that he can never let go and be himself. He always hides behind one of his many masks. Alissa has always prided herself on being able to get a good read on who people really are but will Michael be an easy code to crack?
This is a story about two people seeking genuine love and acceptance and searching for the person behind the mask…

This story is absolutley beautiful and I do hope you continue. In so many ways I felt connected to the character ‘Alissa’ the way she thought about people, and just her personality, which is why I enjoyed this story so much. Please, do keep writing. As a writer myself, I am telling you it is probably one of the greatest Michael Jackson Fan Fics I have ever read. It is a story based on actual emotions and personal battles.

It’s great that Michael and Alissa had this strong, amazing connection from the beginning without it seeming rushed

Thank you Carmen. Glad to have you here! My story is a romance but I didn’t want it to be a fairytale. I want there to be some normalcy to it. Love is something that you have to overcome obstacles to find and these two will sure have their fair share of obstacles. I hope you will enjoy the ideas I have for this story as I complete the chapters.

Thank you all for your wonderful comments on Chapter 9: Starting Over. I have replied to all your comments there. I know that everyone is wondering what the story with Brooke is, but you will have to tune in to Chapter 10 to find out.
Tentatively the title for Chapter 10 is Fall Again. Does that give anyone any ideas as to what’s to come?

I apologize to all of you, but due to some personal health issues I have not been able to write as often as I would like. Please believe me when I say that it’s just as frustrating for me as well. I’ve been working at the next chapter little by little when I can. I apologize for the long wait, but I can say that once chapter 10 is done 11 will not be far behind. I hope to finish it soon and again I’m very sorry to all of you. I’m down but not out. I’m not going to disappear, I promise.

I decided I wanted to post on the front page, lol. I am loving the story. I really like Alissa. She seems very soft, sweet, but also strong. I love that she wants to be in love and feels what he feels. Very touching story so far. I’m wondering how things will turn by the time we get to June of ’09–don’t want to go there tho.

I’m glad you like the story and Alissa as well. I think she is a great person with a not so great past. She just needs a prince charming to rescue her and let’s face it Michael needs his own rescuing too.
I can tell you that the story will go until June 2009 and just a little beyond. I can’t give away the ending, but I’m sure you can imagine what it will be like.

Hello everyone! I’m so sorry that it’s been so long since I updated. You wouldn’t believe the things I’ve been dealing with in life lately. It’s taken away much of my free time and desire to write.
Things will be changing for me in a very huge way soon and I will then have the freedom to get back to the things I love to do, like writing.

Thank you so much for your understanding. I never intended to be away from this story for so long, but sadly some things got in the way.
I have not abandoned the story and do plan to finish, I promise this. I am having shoulder surgery on Friday the 19th of August so that will keep me away from the computer for at least a month. I have a lot to do before then, but I am actually hoping to have some time to finish this chapter beforehand. So let’s keep our fingers crossed for that.
Again, I am so sorry to everyone. Believe me, I know how frustrating it is to be enjoying a story and then the updates just stop and the author seems to disappear. I hate that too and I am so sorry I am being one of those authors. I promise to finish the story though. I mean it!
